Greedy Athletes

Athletes always say that they are "blessed to be doing what they love." If this is true, why are some of them asking for 10's of million dollars? If they are doing what they love, and love the sport, they shouldn't be so greedy. I'm extremely sure that they can live off of 3-6 million dollars a year. It just kills me to see how much players are asking for, or to see how much GM's are willing to give to athletes...especially if they aren't that good to begin with. Andruw Jones just banked $36.2 million for 2 years. After the year he just had, he doesn't even deserve $10 million. I'm a firm believer in what players do in the present and not the past. If I was playing in a sport that I loved, I would never ask for more than $5 million a year. I don't care how good you are, or how good you think yo are, no one deserves $10 million a year. If they do, they don't love the fame, and are just doing it for the money, which is not a reason to play sports. The one instance that really pissed me off was the $28.5 million Clemens made for playing half a season this year. He wasn't even good. He's definitely not worth (and no one is worth) $28.5 million for a half year.

2008 Presidential Race

I myself will be voting for Barach Obama. It's not that I don't a woman to be president, I don't want Hilary Clinton to be president. Theres is something about her that I strongly dislike. I think it's time to have a black man in the oval office. This country needs a new leader and a new direction, and I believe Barach Obama is the right pick. I cannot stand to have another Republican in office. I don't agree with a issue of experience, or what the candidates have done in the past. If I were to look at those, Hilary Clinton voted to send U.S. troops to Iraq at the start of war. I am opposed to the Iraq War to the highest degree, and when I found out that she did that, I quickly wanted Obama to win. As for McCain, he's going to be 72 in august. I don't think it's a good idea to have a person at that age as president. The president has hundreds of things to take care of and traveling all over the world. I don't think he'll be able to take it. Even though it's apparently a long shot....Barach Obama for President of the United States of America!!!!!!!
